Letter from Father
LETTER FROM FATHER IN 2017
Ka-lo-so-ri-sa-te! A warm welcome to our 24th Annual Opa Fest from all the members of our Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy!
Dear friends and neighbors, we thank you for accepting our invitation to share with you our Orthodox Faith and our rich Greek culture and cuisine. It is a weekend comprised of great food, drink, pastries, and entertainment. Our food and pastries come straight from our kitchen, made with same care and tradition that has been passed down for generations. Our parish youth will perform the traditional dances in their Greek dance costumes from various parts of Greece.
There will also be opportunities to see and learn the secrets of preparing the best food in the world! (cooking demonstrations)
We pray you will like the new location of our festival which will provide you easier access to all our activities and to spend some time in our beautiful church, learning the teachings of our faith, or simply, coming in quietly to pray.
And please before you leave, enjoy a refreshing frappe and the best pastries in the world.
Again, welcome, and most of all, enjoy yourselves! OPA!
