Watch Reaching Out: Opa! Fest 2017

The St. Nicholas OPAfest Greek Festival is in its 24th year in Troy, and remains the longest running Greek festival in Southeastern Michigan.

Opa! Fest proudly supports Gleaners. Bring three (3) cans of food to donate to Gleaners and save on the admission.

Here is what you will see at the 2017 OPAfest

  • Live entertainment from The Levendes - one of the most dynamic Greek bands in the nation!
  • Enjoy live appearances and cooking demos by renowned Chef Peter Minaki.
  • Vote for your favorite Iron Chef as this year’s Iron Chef Competition heats up again between Detroit News and St. Nicholas. 
  • A theatrical play: The Aunt from Detroit” (Saturday, June 24 at 6:30pm)
  • A fun festival for the whole family including a Children’s Play Area for kids of all ages! Kids fun and games provided by 


The theme for this year's festival is “Be Greek for a Day” as we focus on authentic Greek Cuisine with all your favorite Greek dishes: Pastichio, Leg of lamb, Lemon Chicken, Spanakopita, Greek Salad, Dolmathes, Gyro, Saganaki, Souvlaki, rice pudding and our wonderful Pastries much more!

Join us for delicious dinners, beer and wine. Savor the scrumptious sweets and luscious Loukoumathes, and relax with a cup of Greek coffee or ice cold frappe. Kick up your heels and join us on the dance floor where you can learn to dance like "Zorba the Greek"! Bring the kids for various children’s activities, rides and games. Don’t forget to purchase some Greek souvenirs and jewelry at the international marketplace.


The Greek Taverna will be fully stocked with Greek Wines, Greek Beer, Ouzo, and Metaxa!


The Kouzina Zaharolastikes (Greek Pastry Kitchen) will be filled with homemade Greek pastries by the members of the St. Nicholas,  including Baklava, Theples, Galaktoboureko, Koulourakia, Melomakarona, Kourambiethes, Karithopita and more.


The Kafenion (Coffee shop) will serve Greek coffee, Frape, and right next door you can enjoy the oh so delicious Loukoumathes - Greek Honey Balls.
